Flowol comprises 15 environments in which different types of equipment must be programmed. For example, there is a Ferris wheel with a motor and three sections with lights that can be controlled. As an aid, the Ferris wheel has two switches. There is also a sensor on the wheel that gives a signal when people get into or leave a basket, in addition to a sensor on the gate. The programming is simple and intuitive; with a flow diagram that can be created using the drag-and-drop method. The program can be tested directly.
The information to the Ferris wheel can be as simple as starting and stopping the wheel. However, it can also be more complicated, such as when sensors, timings, conditions, variables and lights are used to control the wheel and inform the riders.
