What do you react to most quickly - sound or light?

Switch on the power, select an audible or visual signal and press "Start". The meter then suddenly emits a signal and you have to press "Stop" quickly. Your reaction time is shown in the display. One variant is when the meter selects signals (audible or visual) at random.
Is your reaction time longer if the signal from your brain has to go all the way down to your foot instead of your hand? Connect the foot pedal and see...
