Hold a charged ebonite rod against - or just close to - the upper part of the electroscope to get a reading on the dial. The bigger the charge, the higher the reading.
Hold an electrically charged rod against the ball of the electroscope. The charges spread down into the vertical part and out into the thin dial. As like charges repel one another, the dial will be affected by a force from the vertical part, giving a reading.
The dial also displays a reading if the ebonite rod is held close to the ball - influence.
The ball can be replaced with a condenser plate or lab cable.
The protective ring, which is isolated against the vertical part, can be connected to earth.
Material: Metal with plastic foot.
Sockets are suitable for 4 mm lab cables.
Height: 25 cm.
Accessories: A condenser plate and a condenser plate on a plastic rod are supplied.
