Clear, educational model showing how water can be purified. Assemble the model, pour in contaminated water and allow it to pass through the four layers. The results are pretty much drinkable!

Water is purified in four steps in this water purification model. Place gravel in the first purification layer. Place sand in the second layer, active carbon in the third and a filter paper in the fourth. When you then pour contaminated water in through the model, you can gradually see how the water becomes cleaner and cleaner before it finally arrives in the collecting vessel and looks as though it could be drunk.
